Books versus movies

Bookworm problem: When you wish a book would be made into a movie, you really wish it'd be made into a 19-hour-long spectacle that includes every detail of the storyline and is casted perfectly.

What do you think?

  3. Thank you for your comments, Said and Farah.
I guess it is fair to say that the movie version of a book is the screenwriter's and director's interpretation of the book.
I love your quote from Hemingway, Farah. A more contemporary quote echoes the same feelings: "You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend" (Paul Sweeney)
